The Graphic Design Club hosts an event every Spring to help showcase the graduating design students's work to professionals in the industry. As the Vice President of this club I was able to organize fundraising, promote club involvement, delegate tasks to sub committees, and work along side the director of promotions in designing the marketing materials for this event.

We placed a varnish layer on the text "Illuminate" to create a hidden feature that appeared when seen in person. The paper for the materials was a soft velvet finish that mimicked the soft pastels in the background.

We created large backdrop boards that had our "overheard quotes" displayed for viewers to read, be inspired by, and also have a good laugh. This photo booth not only correlated with our show's identity by having these whimsical illuminating colors, but also allowed our guests to be more engaged and celebrate along with us.

The Graphic Design Club as well as several of its members were nominated for four different categories among 88 other clubs among Johnson County Community College. The nominations were for: Event of the Year, Member of the Year, Student Leader of the Year, and Advisor of the Year. I was fortunate enough to be nominated by my fellow peers and receive the Member of the Year Award.
